Enabled Attributes:

This is the list of attributes that you and your CSM have created for your reports. In this section you can select the attributes your report viewer has access to group by and filter.

You'll be able to filter the report by the attributes you have selected. For example, if you want to be able to drill in to K-2 data in your report, select the "Grade" attribute in this section. You'll also be able to group the heatmap by any attribute that you select here. If you'd like to visualize data submitted by Math teachers side-by-side to ELA teachers, for example, select the "Subject" attribute here.

Note:  If an attribute is selected here but individual responses do not have values for that attribute (i.e. school, grade, subject) the response count in a particular widget will show as fewer responses for that attribute.

Filter Responses:

By default, all data from selected sources will appear in this report. Selecting attribute filters will limit which responses appear in your report. As you select what you are filtering by, you will notice the submission number change.

If you do not want to add report-level filters to your data sources, do not select any of the attribute values (all will be included by default). Then, click “Continue.”

Tips:

  • Remember, after you've created your report, there is also a front-end ability to filter the widgets. If you'd like to analyze data from all grade levels but then - at times - drill in to K-2 responses, do not edit the Filter Responses. Then, when interacting with the report, you'll be able to dynamically apply a K-2 filter on the visuals and you'll be able to remove it as necessary.

  • It is important to remember that the attribute filters selected in this section will affect data from all data sources and in all parts of the report.

  • If you want to filter data for a particular widget in the report but not across the entire report, do not use Filter Responses. Instead edit the widget directly (see section 4 - “Configure Report Content”
