When you open an educator’s profile page, KickUp automatically generates a short summary of their recent activity — a quick, readable snapshot without scrolling through individual submissions.

What the summary includes
The summary draws on the last 90 days of data you have permission to see and appears at the top of the profile page, above the submission history. It refreshes every 24 hours.
The summary has two parts:
Recent activity
Two or three bullets covering the educator’s recent engagement:
Coaching activity (last log entries, active cycle status)
Walkthrough and observation frequency
Professional development attendance
Suggested next steps
Up to three suggested actions based on patterns in the data — for example, scheduling a follow-up conversation, addressing an overdue evaluation step, or building on a current coaching focus area.
Suggested next steps only appear when the data suggests a meaningful pattern. If activity is recent and consistent, this section may be blank.
What data is included
The summary is generated from data the viewer has permission to see. Two people with different access levels may see different summaries for the same educator.
Source | What’s included |
Coaching logs | Entries from coaching instances the viewer has access to |
Walkthroughs | Observations from walkthrough instances the viewer has access to |
Coaching cycles | Completed steps, active cycle name and status |
Evaluations | Submitted evaluation steps |
Professional development | PD attendance records |
Hidden questions (questions marked private on walkthrough or coaching log forms) are not included in the summary. PD feedback responses are also not included.
How to access
Profile summaries appear automatically on any educator’s profile you have access to.
No administrator setup is required — the summary generates when you open the profile.
If the educator has no activity in the last 90 days that you have access to, the summary section will not appear.
Frequently asked questions
Is the summary visible to the educator themselves?
Yes — educators who can access their own profile will see a summary generated from their own activity.
Can I edit or dismiss the summary?
Not currently. The summary is read-only and refreshes every 24 hours.
What if the summary seems inaccurate?
The summary reflects the underlying submission data. If something seems off, check the individual submissions for accuracy. You cannot edit the summary directly. If the summary feels inaccurate even when the underlying data looks right, use the thumbs up/down buttons on the summary to let us know — that feedback helps us improve how summaries are generated.
