How to log coaching interactions

This guide will instruct you on how to log your coaching interactions within KickUp

The activity log allows coaches to track informal interactions between them and the teachers they support. The activity log allows coaches to track information from different kinds of coaching interactions such as:

  • 1:1 meetings

  • Co-teaching

  • Co-planning

  • Classroom observations

  • Professional development

  • Meeting preparation

Navigating to your activity log

From coaching located on the left-side navigation bar, click on the name of your coaching cycle and find your roster.

Begin an activity log submission by clicking log activity beside the teacher with whom you would like to log a coaching interaction. Another way to begin submitting an activity log is from the teacher details page. Click on the name of the teacher you’d like to log the interaction about from your roster view, then click log activity at the top of the teacher’s page.

Submitting a group coaching log

In the case of coaching groups or coaching a PLC, you can log a coaching interaction for multiple teachers on your roster. From the roster view, select start log, and then start group log. From this menu, you can add multiple teachers to log your group coaching activity. All teachers selected will see the data from your log submission.
