Asynchronous Online Professional Learning

For Professional Learning taking place asynchronously, you'll want to keep in mind a few basic practices:

  1. Date/Time: You will be required to select a date and time, which determines where the event will show up in the Browse Events view. Simply set the date and time fields to represent the last day you want to allow participants to complete the course or online experience.

  2. Details/Location: Use the rich text description box to include clear instructions for participants, including links to key materials, videos, etc.

  3. Attendance Confirmation: Embed the event confirmation code within the online learning module (e.g. at the end of the module or video). You may additionally override attendance after a participant has confirmed, if you need to.

Synchronous Online Professional Learning

For synchronous online learning, your workflow will likely look very similar to the way it does for in-person events. You may simply want to describe the online nature of the event in your event description box.
