Submitting assignments

Assignments are a way to demonstrate your understanding and engage with the course content.

  1. Review the assignment description and complete the necessary work.

  2. Click “Add artifacts” to upload/link your work.

  3. Add the files or links needed to complete the assignment.

  4. When all artifacts have been added, click “Submit assignment.” Ensure you have added all artifacts before submitting. Once the assignment is submitted you will not be able to edit the submission unless it’s been returned.

Assignment approval

A course facilitator can choose between two types of assignments:

  • Approved automatically: You will immediately see that your assignment has been approved.

  • Approved manually: A facilitator will review and approve your assignment or return it. You will see a message that your assignment has been submitted and is awaiting approval.

Assignment states

Incomplete = the assignment has not yet been submitted

Approved = the assignment has been approved, which marks that assignment complete

Returned = the assignment was not approved by the facilitator for some reason. You will be able to resubmit the assignment by modifying or replacing the artifacts you added.

Resubmitting a Returned Assignment

If your assignment has been returned, you are able to edit your submission and resubmit it once you’ve added/replaced the artifacts.

  1. Go to the assignment

  2. Click “Edit submission”

  3. Delete previously added artifacts and/or add new artifacts

  4. Click “Submit assignment”

Email notifications

Staff members will receive an email notification once their assignment has been approved or returned.
