Where to find it
In Walkthroughs:
Open a walkthrough instance.
Click the Data tab.
Select By Staff Member.
In Coaching:
Open a coaching instance.
Click the Data tab.
Select By Staff Member.
What the table shows
Every staff member on your instance roster appears as a row. Default columns include:
Column | What it shows |
Name | Staff member name, linked to their profile |
# Submissions | Total submissions logged for this person |
Last Submission Date | Date of the most recent submission |
Staff members with zero submissions appear in the table like everyone else — they won’t be hidden by default, so you can see at a glance who hasn’t been observed yet.
Adding columns
Use the Edit columns button to add or remove columns from the table. You can add:
Numeric form questions — any question with a numeric response type (e.g., time spent, a rating scale) from your form
# Completed cycles (Coaching only) — number of coaching cycles completed for each staff member
Open response and multiple choice question columns are coming soon.
Filtering
Filter by date
Use the date filter to limit the table to submissions within a specific time range. Submission counts and last activity dates update to reflect only the selected period.
Filter by submission count
Use the # Submissions filter to focus on staff with a specific number of observations. For example:
Filter to 0 submissions to surface everyone who hasn’t been observed yet.
Filter to 1–2 submissions to find staff who’ve only been seen briefly.
Active filters appear as removable tags above the table — click the X on any tag to clear that filter.
Accessing a staff member’s submissions
Click a staff member’s name to open their profile, where you can view their full submission history, learning activity, and more.
Note: Clicking a table row directly may not always navigate to a specific submission. For staff members with multiple submissions, use the profile link to browse their history.
Frequently asked questions
Who can see the By Staff Member table?
Anyone with data access on the instance can see this view. If you can see the Data tab, you can see By Staff Member.
Can I export the table?
Export isn’t available for this view yet. The table is designed to answer the questions you’d otherwise need a spreadsheet for — right inside KickUp.
Does this work for group coaching logs?
The By Staff Member table groups data by individual staff member. Group coaching logs don't appear in this view — only individual coaching logs submitted against a specific person are reflected here.
Is there a difference between the Walkthroughs and Coaching versions?
The core experience is the same. The Coaching version has one additional column option — # Completed cycles — which tracks how many coaching cycles each staff member has finished.
